Veda Advantage Completes Acquisition of ABR and NTD
September 6, 2007: Veda Advantage, Australasia's leading provider of business intelligence services, today announced it has completed the acquisition of the Australian Business Research (ABR) and National Tenancy Database (NTD) businesses from Collection House Limited (CLH), following last month’s notification from the Australian Consumer and Competition Commission that it does not propose to intervene.
This follows Veda's purchase in July of the Atlantis Group's marketing list division in New Zealand. The new businesses complement and enrich Veda Advantage's existing data, analytics and technology offering according to Veda Advantage CEO, Andrew Want.
"The recent purchase of these two excellent businesses supports our commitment to improving the breadth and depth of services to our commercial customers. We intend to keep investing in and delivering the highest quality data and solutions," said Mr Want.
"Both businesses are renowned for their innovation and customer service, and we intend to harness these strengths to provide a new and innovative range of commercial information services. Combined with Veda's outstanding data capability, customers can expect a complete range of services to assist in managing commercial lending and trade credit risk.
"ABR is recognised for its innovation in high end financial reporting which will enhance Veda’s already rapidly growing commercial information services business and provide ‘one stop shop’ solutions for our customers.
"The NTD is significant player in the tenancy sector and this acquisition also presents great opportunities for Veda Advantage. The residential rental market is constantly evolving, driving the need for innovation and the delivery of vital information to real estate agents Australia-wide," Mr Want said. NTD (formerly known as RentCheck and Remington White) holds more than one million tenant records on file and will continue to provide vital information to real estate agents Australia wide.
Veda Advantage is working through a thorough and exhaustive plan to ensure a seamless transition for ABR and NTD customers and staff now the purchase has been finalised.
